Since EMS Manger requires no installation, how does it work?
EMS Manager™ is an Internet based client/server application. You can access EMS Manager with a standard Internet browser just the way you would access any other website. All data is stored on our secure dedicated server.

What are the advantages of being Internet based?
The main advantages of an Internet based solution are as follows:

EMS Manager works equally well with Microsoft Windows and Apple computers
You do not need to install anything new on your computer.
You do not need to worry about installing upgrades or security patches.
You do not need to worry about backing up your data.
Members can view the schedule, calendar and bulletin board and submit their availability hours from anywhere with Internet access.
Administrators can create the schedule from anywhere with Internet access.
Members can receive and accept shift transfer requests via email.

Can any Internet browser be used with EMS Manager?
Users with Administrator access should use a recent version of Microsoft Explorer. Some of the administration functionality works best with Microsoft Explorer. Other members within the organization can use any recent browser. We've tested Explorer and Firefox but any other standards based browser should work.

Our ambulance company uses mainly volunteer EMTs. How can EMS Manager benefit us?
EMS Manager has many features perfectly suited to a volunteer organization, including: availability submission, automatic email trading, home page bulletin board, self sign-up, and certification and immunization tracking.

Our company primarily uses full time EMTs. How can EMS Manager benefit us?
California, 24/48 and many other rotations are currently built into EMS Manager and each system can easily handle several dozen crews or more. If you use your own custom rotation, we will build it into the system for you.

What security measures do you have in place?
Our team has been building secure e-commerce sites since 1998, so we give security the highest priority. We start by using our own dedicated servers. We also use a 128 bit strong encryption SSL (secure socket layer) for each system. Each of your members receive their own login and password. All data is backed-up daily.

What is your privacy policy?
The information your company posts onto EMS Manager and the information posted by your members will remain private and confidential. We will never sell, rent, barter or share your information in any way with any other company. And we will never use any of the contact information stored on the site to solicit you or your members
